    • Not really, even when it may seem so, in reality they’re very shy birds and their beaks are designed for scooping and skimming shallow water. These birds are gregarious type and usually are part of a large flock.
      These flamingos when spooked will try to take off in panic and when you have a large flock they can cause themselves great damage. Thanks for the comment Janet! 🙂

  1. I’ve never seen flamingoes the way you photograph them, HJ – you manage to see the sheen and the curve of the feathers, and they are far from the rather silly creatures I’m used to seeing !!

    • I tend to display the real bird not the cartoon like image, birds are real, with stress, pain, they can hurt and they can suffer ultimate they can die too. I like pictures that you can feel the bird’s heart pumping. 🙂
